Vitamin C is involved in collagen production, protects cells from free radical
damage and is vital in wound healing. Vitamin C is essential for effective
functioning of the immune system and the building of new blood vessels. Vitamin
C is involved in the metabolism of cholesterol, and is needed by the body to
assist ion the absorption of iron from our foods. Humans do not store vitamin C
in the their bodies so we have to eat plenty of it on a daily basis. Eat fruits
like kiwi, citrus, papaya, guava; and vegetables like red capsicum, brussel
sprouts and broccoli.
